Nevada's assisted-living licensing data carries an endorsement naming the populations a home serves - including an explicit Alzheimer/dementia endorsement - so memory care is a real signal for the assisted-living tier (not a guess); we flag a home as offering memory care where it carries that endorsement and trust the field rather than guess from a home's name. Home for Individual Residential Care homes are small (2-4 bed) residences, so we withhold their exact street address and map pin and publish only town, county, and ZIP. Adult day care is a non-residential community day program. The portal carries no Medicaid-acceptance field, so Medicaid is a documented gap for the state tiers (nursing homes are Medicare/Medicaid-certified by definition), and it carries no coordinates for the state tiers. Nursing homes and their accountability record (star rating, abuse icon, special-focus status, fines, coordinates) come from the federal CMS Care Compare file (state==NV), validated against Nevada's own skilled-nursing licence list by CMS certification number.
